Movement has always been my way of connecting with others and exploring my physical and mental potential. As a child, I loved dance, which later grew into a passion for team sports like ice hockey. I’ve also coxswained for rowing teams in Connecticut and California and raced and coached sailing on the Chesapeake Bay. Over the years, my journey expanded to teaching yoga (starting in 2004), spending hours in the rock-climbing gym, coaching aerial silks, and, in 2012, discovering my love for weightlifting.
Driven to excel as a leader and coach in athletics, I earned my personal training certification and a 200-hour yoga teacher certification. Since then, I’ve continually deepened my expertise, pursuing advanced education in nutrition, holistic health, and evidence-based training techniques that deliver world-class results.
This path ultimately led me to open Uplift Strength & Spirit in 2016, where I’ve had the privilege of coaching incredible people in Washington, D.C.
I’m here to help you live a longer, stronger, and healthier life—without sacrifice. At Uplift, we provide custom workouts in a safe, supportive, and private setting. Together, we’ll work toward your fitness goals while improving your quality of life.

Absolutely! Many of our clients start as complete novices. We’ll work closely with you to teach the basics, ensuring you feel confident and safe. As you progress, we’ll continue to correct and cue your form, building a strong foundation. Once you’ve mastered the fundamentals, we’ll guide you with advanced recommendations to take your skills to the next level. At Uplift, everyone starts where they are and grows from there!
We begin with a thorough movement assessment to identify imbalances, mobility limitations, and/or motor control issues. Based on this evaluation, we’ll design a personalized program to address these areas while building strength and improving overall movement quality. Our goal is to help you move better, feel stronger, and reduce the risk of injury.

From there, we provide recommendations and tailor your programming to address imbalances, strengthen supporting muscles, and improve alignment.
